Your story speaks!
I am not just talking about the one from the past.
The story of who you are at this very moment, your story of today.
Whether you know it or not, there is someone somewhere inspired by who you are!
I understand how anxiety and fear can make you feel otherwise.
Listen Friend, I have struggled with both!
The paralyzing feeling of what if this happens or how will this person respond if I do x y and z.
Mmmhm!
I told you I understand how you feel.
Let me share something with you.
You and I are people of faith!
2 Corinthians 5:7, gives us a reminder how our decisions in life should be predicated on faith, not feelings.
In order for our faith to grow, we have to spend time in God’s word!
Why?
Romans 10:17 gives us the answer, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.”
When we hear the word of God, our faith grows stronger to kick those bad negative thoughts out of our minds and replace them with the truth of who we really are!
When we hear and apply God’s word, we can be sure that our decision to choose faith is creating a story with a powerful message, a story following the good things of God.
Friend, when you make the decision to show up each and every day, taking steps toward God beyond how you feel, your story not only speaks, your story empowers!
God, thank you to my friend who is reading this post today! I pray something shared will leave a lasting impact that their story of today matters. As they move forward in this life, may they trust in you. Starting today, may every day in their life prove you are with them, so those who see them will follow you faithfully, in Jesus name, Amen!
